Refund and Cancellation Policy

Verifund is in free early access, so nothing is charged and there is nothing to refund. Here is how to leave, and what we promise before any paid plan begins.

  • Price today Free. No card, no charge, no free trial and no subscription. Early access can end; except after a breach, we give at least 30 days' email notice.
  • Refunds Nothing is charged, so there is nothing to refund. Any accidental charge is refunded in full.
  • Leaving Stop at any time; there is nothing to cancel. Email us to delete your organization or login. Stopping use does not delete your data.
  • Paid plans Planned, not available yet. We will email you, and post the full policy here, at least 30 days before any charges begin. Nobody is moved onto a paid plan without choosing one and accepting its terms at checkout.

1. About this policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy (our "Refund Policy") is part of our Terms of Service. "Verifund," "we" and "us" mean Verifund Technologies LLC. If our Terms of Service and this policy differ about charges or refunds, this policy controls. Paid plan terms an admin accepts at checkout control for that paid plan.

This policy covers only fees paid to Verifund. Verifund does not offer online rent payment, and it does not receive, hold, move or refund rent, deposits or other money between landlords and tenants. People an organization invites do not pay Verifund.

Nothing in this policy takes away a right you have under a law that cannot be waived by contract.

2. Early access is free

Verifund is currently offered as free early access. New organizations join by requesting a demo and being approved by us, and they invite their own staff, renters and investors. We do not ask for payment details or charge any fee, and there is no free trial or subscription, so nothing renews.

Because nothing is charged, there is nothing to refund. Paid plans will start only as section 5 describes. Early access can end. Except after a breach, we will email your admins at least 30 days before it does, so they can ask us for an export (section 21.3 of our Terms of Service).

3. Stopping use and closing your account or organization

3.1 Stopping use

You can stop using Verifund at any time, without telling us and without any fee. Stopping use does not delete your data. Your organization's records stay in Verifund unless an admin removes them or asks us to delete them. We delete them for any other reason only after your organization's access has ended, and we first email your admins at least 30 days in advance so they can ask for an export, unless the law requires us to delete them sooner.

3.2 Keep copies of what you need

Save the records you need before you close anything. Admins, members and viewers can open uploaded signed lease files in the web app and save a copy. For other records, an admin can email us from their account email address, and we will send CSV files at no charge, normally within 10 business days. Landlords may have to keep leases, rent ledgers and deposit records for years; Verifund is not your record keeper.

3.3 Deleting your login

Renters can delete a login they use only as a renter in the renter app. Managers, staff and investors can email us from the login's email address. Section 22.3 of our Terms of Service and section 10.4 of our Privacy Policy explain what is deleted, what stays with the organization and how long it takes.

3.4 Deleting your organization

An admin can ask us to delete the organization and its records by emailing chasemcdonald@verifundsolutions.com from their admin account email address with the organization's name. Because deletion cannot be undone, we confirm the request in writing, email every admin and wait at least 7 days so another admin can object. We delete the records from our live systems within 30 days after the request is confirmed, and backup copies can remain for up to 30 days after that. Everyone loses access, including the renters and investors the organization invited.

Remove all data in the app does not delete the organization, anyone's login, or every stored file or saved assistant conversation.

3.5 What we keep after deletion

We may keep a few records, such as records of privacy requests, for up to 7 years after an account or organization closes, or longer if a legal claim, audit or legal hold requires it. Records of which versions of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy a login accepted are deleted with that login. Our Privacy Policy lists what else we keep, such as demo requests and logs, and for how long.

4. Any accidental charge is refunded in full

If Verifund charges you by mistake, or when no admin of your organization has chosen a paid plan and accepted its terms at checkout, we refund the full amount, including any tax on it. If we find such a charge ourselves, we refund it without waiting for you to ask.

To report one, email chasemcdonald@verifundsolutions.com with the date, the amount and how the charge appears on your statement. Do not send your full card number, bank details or password; we will never ask for them by email, phone or text message.

  • We refund within 10 business days after we confirm the charge came from Verifund, and we email you when we do.
  • Refunds go back to the card or account charged, and banks usually show them within 5 to 10 business days. If that is not possible, we return the money another way at no cost to you.
  • You keep your right to dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer.

We plan to offer paid plans later, currently $23 per organization per month plus applicable tax, with a 14-day free trial that requires a card. They are not available yet, and the details may change before launch. Before any charges begin:

  • we will email the admins of every organization using Verifund at least 30 days before any paid plan starts, explaining what happens to organizations that do not subscribe and how to export records first; that email is not a bill, and nothing is owed unless an admin subscribes;
  • we will post our full Refund and Cancellation Policy on this page at least 30 days before any charges begin;
  • paid terms will apply to your organization only if an admin chooses to subscribe and accepts them at checkout; and
  • we will never move your organization onto a paid plan unless an admin chooses one. If no admin subscribes, your organization is not charged.

This policy is part of our Terms of Service, so an update to it follows the change rules in section 28 of the Terms, and an update never applies to a charge already made.
